Our summer camps offer a variety of outdoor activities from 9am to 4pm daily with six one-week long sessions typically kicking off the Monday following Canada Day each summer.
What to expect?
We offer a wide range of activities such as: lake swimming and canoeing (once a week at Jerry Lawrence), campfires (Fall River), plant identification, catch and release fishing (Jerry Lawrence), hiking, geocaching, knot tying, animal observations, yoga, loose parts play, crafting, tree climbing, wading, frog catching, storytelling, and learning simple hand tools (whittling, fire safety).
Our leaders are Kellie (Hare), Sarah (Songbird), Rose (Snail), Liam (Squirrel), Nazia, Krista (Butterfly) and some other new faces your kids will love. To learn a little more about our staff, check out the staff page.
- We structure the camps into cohorts/groups of 10-14 children led by 2 outstanding people.
- Programs run from 9am to 4pm daily.
- Typically six, week-long sessions are available kicking off the Monday following Canada Day. For current year dates and fees visit the Our Programs page.
- Please note there are no refunds for canceled programs due to weather such as thunder/lightning, heavy rainfall, high winds of 40 km consistently or gusts of 65 km, and extreme temperatures of +32 with the humidex and -15 windchill.
Registration and other details
Registration for summer camps typically open online to new families on April 1st. For existing families, it opens on March 31st via email. Your children will enjoy hours of outdoor Play and Fun in the woodlands and parks of HRM.
